ESOFT Metro Campus celebrated the launch of Cambridge Authorised Exam Centre, marking a significant step towards expanding international learning opportunities in Sri Lanka. This milestone event featured esteemed guests at the head table, representing both ESOFT and Cambridge University Press & Assessment, underscoring the importance of this collaboration in advancing language education for the future of Sri Lankan students.
The distinguished head table featured Dr Dayan Rajapakse, Chairman and Managing Director of ESOFT Metro Campus; Mr. Nishan Sembacuttiaratchy, Chief Executive Officer of ESOFT Metro Campus; and Mr. Amila Bandara, Chief Operating Officer – Group Business Development at ESOFT Metro Campus. Representing Cambridge University Press & Assessment were Mr. Arun Rajamani, Managing Director for South Asia, and Mr. Shafkhaan Faris, Manager (English) for Sri Lanka.
Dr. Dayan Rajapakse addressed the gathering, calling the launch of the Cambridge Authorised Exam Centre as a “historic milestone” for ESOFT, underlining the critical importance of strong communication skills in today’s globalised world. “Starting today, ESOFT Metro Campus proudly steps forward as a certified Cambridge Authorised Exam Centre, dedicated to helping students, recent school graduates, and English learners nationwide reach new heights in language proficiency. Language proficiency is essential for success in a globalised society, as strong communication skills can elevate a professional’s career and provide access to opportunities worldwide,” he stated. Supporting this, Mr. Arun Rajamani emphasised, “English language skills have a significant impact on employability, as proficiency can double job prospects and open doors to global opportunities. The establishment of this new centre involved a collaborative effort and due diligence, underscoring ESOFT’s commitment to bridging local educational offerings with international standards.”
The Cambridge Authorised Exam Centre at ESOFT Metro Campus is more than just a place for an examination; it is a gateway to academic and professional growth. English proficiency has become a fundamental skill for success in nearly every field, and Cambridge’s comprehensive framework, based on the globally recognised Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR), ensures students develop a well-rounded linguistic capability. This new collaboration enables ESOFT to provide learning and examination facilities for KET, PET, FCE, C1, and TKT to students throughout Sri Lanka, across all 40 branches of ESOFT.
