Exploring TNE Programs in Sri Lanka with ESOFT

London Metropolitan University: The TNE programmes London Met offers through

ESOFT caters to diverse student interests. They include Information Technology, General Management, Hospitality Management and Travel & Tourism Management.

The more research-minded students with a fascination for science and human health may consider the  Biomedical Engineering programme from LondonMet at ESOFT. If your child’s passion lies in creative expression, the Fashion Design programme could be a good fit. ESOFT also offers TNE programmes in Psychology and Law (LLB).

Kingston University: ESOFT offers TNE courses from Kingston University  in Software Engineering, Mobile and Web Development, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, and  Quantity Surveying, equipping technically  inclined students with expertise and the practical skills employers seek globally.

Hertfordshire University: ESOFT’s collaboration with Hertfordshire University include Information Technology and Business degrees. One notable course is their highly reputed BSc (Hons) in Computer Science programme.   Students who complete a relevant HND qualification at ESOFT can directly enter the final year of their chosen Information Technology or Business degree at Hertfordshire.

Flexible Learning Options: UK undergraduate honours degrees typically extend over three years, with entrance criteria being Local or London ALs or a Level 3 Diploma with O/Levels.

Students then have two completion options for all programs offered by London Metropolitan and Kingston Universities through ESOFT. Students have the freedom to choose between completing their entire degree in Sri Lanka or transferring to the respective UK university for the final year. The UK top-up option allows your child to gain valuable international exposure while immersing themselves in the university culture.

While in Sri Lanka, students may choose to follow lectures on  weekdays or weekends. Hybrid or online lessons for specific streams are also available catering to individual learning needs and preferences.

Australian TNE Options

Beyond the UK options, ESOFT provides TNE pathways from Australia, for Information Technology and Business programmes in collaboration with Central Queensland University and Melbourne Institute of Technology, and BScs in  Information Technology from the University of Western Sydney. Students commence their studies with a Pearson HND completed in Sri Lanka. Upon completion, students transition to Australian universities for the remaining two years, aligning with the standard four-year duration of Australian degree programmes. This structure ensures students receive a comprehensive education while fulfilling the requirements for post-study work visas, necessitating a minimum of two years of study in Australia.
